Fisher Body Plant 21, Detroit
So I finally decided to throw on my boots and go to the Fisher Body Plant, one of the most famous car factories. It made car bodies as the title suggests, and earlier, wagons. In 2015 it caught fire and one of the elevator shafts collapsed on the building. The building was easily accessible compared to other places, it had a door neighboring the sidewalk, which lead me into the very-wet first floor. These are some industrial rubber flaps. I recently found out they are called strip doors, these doors always make a building 2 times as 'industrial'. This is actually the second floor, which was partly falling down like a ramp, with some nifty ropes left for climbing The building appears in 8-Mile, as Rabbit is driving to his job at the stamping plant The teal windows' effect added to the atmosphere within the building, I brought a shard of the glass home.
