Michner Plating Metal Treat Division, Jackson

In the far south part of Jackson was the last retreat for Michner Plating Co. Where a bunch of other industrial companies had moved as well. This is the lesser known Michner Plating building.

Unlike the other building on Mechanic St., this complex still has the sign attached to the facade.

Another quirk are the odd sheds on the roof. These are most likely for the machines in the building. This is the main office, and the old surrounding overhanging looks like it has been removed.

Remains of the plating plant's machines which were subject to foreclosure. These might be the zinc & nickel machines, though I am no plating expert.

A weird find was this old fashioned retro break area, which might've been popular at time of construction.

The company president's office, trashed. This is a lot to take in all at once. Makes you wonder who came here to do this.

That's a very big hive, luckily nobody lives in it.

Here is a different building in the complex, It used to have a connection to the main building at one point.

I bet you couldn't put more individual things in one photo than this.

This building was separated by a large wall, one side was full of pallets, the other probably had machines at one point. This might've been the chrome line?

Some machine holes, some sold assets were probably there at one point.

On the west side of that building was this deck that was raised above the ground and full of metal pipes and bent under any weight.

The roof access on the left side of this image was stairs, which were very nice. Some guy decided to go up there and graffiti it, then they were removed.

The "third" building. Nobody really cared enough to touch it, as there are no entry attempt spots or graffiti on it at all.

Here lies someone's old CRT-TV. Weird place to dump it.

Part 2

Nothing much has changed since last.

Here's a peak into one of the only buildings on the property I did not explore

This time around I realized how much the silica on the pipes was peeling off, like hanging threads

One machine was completely missing, and the wiring to the top was dangling from the ceiling
